THE BRIEF

Our client - a global luxury fine jewellery brand seeking a Finance Director – EMEA Markets, to be based out of the brands regional EMEA Headquarters in London. The role was part of a global restructure across multiple Corporate teams and therefore needed to be a discreet search.

The client is a brand we have partnered with on multiple occasions, so we were familiar with the businesses entrepreneurial approach and cultural fit required. Our client was seeking an individual who already had exposure to international markets as the successful applicant would be responsible for leading the accounting, reporting, compliance, and financial transaction processing activities for all of the companies operations in the EMEA Region. The role also required somebody with exceptional people skills to lead and support a team of around 25-30 individuals across various markets and a multitude of locations. Our client was seeking an individual from a similar retail environment who could easily get to grips with the intricacies of their brand.

THE PROCESS

Identifying strong talent in the field of finance was not the most challenging part of the process. Due to our extensive network, we had shortlisted and sent over profiles for consideration within a two week time frame. The sensitivity and confidentiality of the role required a longer and more complex recruitment process. Expectations on both sides were needed to be dealt with carefully to ensure both parties were kept well informed. The interview process took a number of months to complete and the process resulted in a successful placement for both candidate and client.
